Public opinion plays a vital role in the democratic process, and experiencing firsthand how public opinion gets measured provides an understanding of the process that goes beyond the classroom. We will focus on the history and methodology behind polls, how that data and information get disseminated and presented, and the impact it has on governance and elections. |

This course covers a selective survey of well-known political films from 1960s to 2000s with an emphasis toward explicit, inventive, social content. Analysis will cover salient political ideas in concert with cinematic art leading to an acquired awareness and appreciation of social film history of the last fifty years.
